Today I was seeing the news and here in Puerto Rico a College student died in the library because of a heart attack, he drank too much energy drinks. The Department of Education said that they didn't thought they ask too much to students because all of them are required and asked to do the same thing. Let me tell you, I really got scared with this news. I'm a PsyD Clinical Psychology Student and I'm one of those that drinks whatever keeps here up. It doesn't matter if its red bull, ciclon, monster, caffeine pills, soda, coffee, energizing candies, etc. Recently I decided to take a break because I knew I need it. So I know and I think a lot of people out there that worries to do excellent in College knows that time is a big issue, no matter how hard you work you always need more hours in a day. So this have become a really big concerned for me. Will like to read your opinions. And most will like to read if you are having a similar situation how you deal with all the jobs and assignment in an effective way so people can read tips that can be useful for them.

soda can decrease the amount of blood platelets in your body so i've heard. the drinks take away the calcium from the body and pile them to the kidneys where they form kidney stones. after knowing that i refrained from drinking sodas. i guess more health news remain hidden from the public that would otherwise have kept people well informed.

I also studied in my biology class, that this energy drinks pick up your energy level but also your heart rate and then when the effect is over it decrease suddenly causing damages to the body. It gives the body like a shock after is done the effect in your system.

This information wasn't giving by the news, but its really good question and they should have more details so College students can acknowledge the risk they are taking drinking this energizing things.

I stop drinking that stuff because it made me feel awful. I didn't feel energized at all. My body was physically tired but my mind was awake. You have to be careful with anything that speeds the heart up. It also says on the can not to drink more than 2 a day. So this guy wasn't reading the directions.

For me it works, but the question here is the price to pay for that. Beside we know that you can take a lot but sometimes pressure is on and there is the thing which I want to point out; looking for more effective methods to cope with College.
