I am asked to submit writing sample on Search Engine Marketing:Any ideas?

HI,guys!I submitted my bid as internet researcher for articles/blogs, got it from peoppleperhour.com. And the employer responded to my bid, despite being able to submit my previous writing sample ( I used to write product review for a website builder company), he has another choice, even better, if I could make a writing sample about the development of Search Engine Marketing for the last 10 years. We know that internet marketing now is a popular way to promote our product/service. Do you have any ideas about this?Where should I start from?I am still dummy on this issue, still learning a lot. Can you help me please?At least in 2-3 days, I must submit it.Thank you guys, your help is appreciated.
