Finally, someone said what I've been thinking. Love of vamps has become SUCH a cliche.I don't watch those kind of shows, blood makes me sick, too much of it. These pics looks pretty bloddy, makes my tummy churn.

The Vampire theme is part of the Horror Genre,so it's meant to be scary..(bloodcurdling,if you will..) Though Dracula was portrayed as Charismatic, drawing his victims in..,this teen hickey Vamp thing is diluting the impact..

Yeah it is becoming a bit of an overkill situation! Of course twilight really boosted it and threw vampires into the spotlight. However, I think a lot of people have a fascination with vampires. I don't know why. Maybe because they're meant to be half bat half human? In high school I borrowed Bram Stoker's Dracula in a story book form and I kept on renewing it because I loved looking at the amazing vampire illustrations. I remember being fascinated by them! That was about 12 years ago. I have not seen True Blood and the Vampire Diaries, and I don't really have the urge to as I think it's not really an original idea and I don't think I would be able to get into it as much as I would if vampires weren't huge right now.

I'm having difficulty with these shows having vampires co-existing with humans..too much suspension of disbelief with the whole "fox in the chicken coop" aspect..

I've been done with vampires, wizards and drunk Jersey girls for a long time now. I would rather read a mystery or something that blows up without regard to anybody. You have everything from emo vampires to naked running wild vampires, will it ever stop? I hope so because if I have to listen to another tween hope that a vampire bites her so she can live forever I'm gonna puke!

I'm always a fan of vampires, but I do hate that vampire movies and shows are sucky right now. I do like Twilight, but I think it's nice as a teen romance movie than a vampire movie. I'm more of a big fan of attacking vampires like Underworld and Blade. Now those are my kind of vampire movies. Who wants to see a vampire shining like diamonds when they go into the sunlight? I want to see them burn to ashes.

well after people making everything about vampires i am getting tired of hearing about them its vampire this and vampire that.i didnt mind them before but now the fans, authors, and movie makers have sucked the life out of the vampire genre completly. I used to like them because they were ruthless and strong..now its everyone's fantasy to be bitten when normally people would be scared of them.. ATTACK OF THE TEDDY VAMPS!aka (huggle and kiss every girl/guy vampires) i want them biting people and making lunch out of people not cuddling!! ..

I must say, if it's done well I can definitely go for another bite. I just don't like those vampire movies aimed at the younger crowd. Bleh . . . a 400 year old vamp going to high school. Blaise!

while not obsessed (she is also a gleek - she loves the tv show glee) with vampires, she does like them and has all the posters in her room from the movie but i am with you. i am is a bit tired of it.

I've only seen my first couple of Glee episodes this past couple of weeks or so..wasn't aware of how the fans described themselves! (Thanks for that!) I'm still finding funny the story of the 2 sisters arguing, the Older one telling the Younger one "Santa doesn't exist!" while the Younger one comes back with "Well,Neither does Edward!" the poster said, then "Guess which one ran off crying?!"

I am. There's a new local show here in the Philippines which is a rip-off of Twilight and you'll never catch me watching a single second of that program.

I'm pretty sure that even Twilight fans don't want to be seeing ripoffs made from that Movie..(Thinks..I'm now wondering how "Vampires Suck" went down with the Twilight fanbase?!-I didn't get much response from them in another discussion when I asked who was going to see the Parody Movie..)

I'll bet they go after any "rouge" vampire that starts going after muggles.

They suck blood, but I don't think they attack people in the wizarding world of Harry Potter since the candy store have blood lollipops for vampires.

i have! about two years ago, i really fell in love with twilight. the books, i mean. i really rushed to read all the books before they came out with the movie versions. the books are always better, i believe. but now, i can't even stand it when it's playing over the cable. when the movie premieres, i watch it, only because it has become a tradition between me and my friends. when the first one came out, we promised each other that we would watch all the movies together. but had i not made that promise, i probably wouldn't have bothered to watch the twilight movies. i don't watch any of the other vampire movies or tv series. my friend tells me that vampire diaries is really good. but i told her that i'm so fed up with vampires now that i won't watch it, no matter how good the story line is (according to her) or how hot the actors are.

The problem is that everything has already been done about vampires. So at this point, whatever you do, you will always end up seeing something you know already, and not even better than what you saw originally. Things like Tru Blood started to change things a bit. But now it has just become ridiculously gore for no good reason, and never mind the gratuitous shirtless moments that do not help forgetting about the cliches.

I noticed they had a dig at prominently featured Shirtless guys in the "Vampires Suck" Trailer.."It's in the Contract"!

Who isnt? that would be a better question, we have all had enough of vampires, they shouldve put an end to this sht when the interview with the vampire was released but they didnt ,and still so many movies and Tv shows are based on Vampires and the worst part is that it still sells:s

Yep..the Genre's definitely been around long enough to have had all the meatier themes addressed..everything else has been diminishing returns and eye candy..
