2012 was recently released by HBO. I already watched the movie and really get me into tears. I am really upset to the Government of USA and other involve country. Did you see the part where the daughter of the President and the Doctor asked the facilitator. How they selected the people who were able to board on the Big Ship? They notice that some people rich and have power on their certain country. And the replied was " we need money to build this ship". If that will be the case, what will happen to people/mankind who can't afford to pay 1 Billion Euros for the ticket? Where is there principle in preaching "help others" If this will ever happen in the near future. Will the Goverment will be like this too?

I first saw the movie 2012 on pirated CD . The resolution is so bad I can hardly understand what the actors were saying. I watch it again when it was shown on HBO just recently but since I've watched it before the thrill is already gone and I keep on changing channels every now and then. I didn't even notice or perhaps I was just on another channel when that part of the movie you mentioned was shown. In my own opinion, the movie 2012 is just too much fiction that it hardly connects to the ending of world as they portrayed it would be. Although I can say that it's an action packed thriller movie. The ending of the movie is not what I expected either.

I don't think so my friend. If you will notice many personnel who are working in the Government has place in the ship while normal people are having hard time to enter the ship if not with the help of the Doctor inside the ship they will not realize what they are doing. Would you agree that Government Official aren't corrupt?

The movie is just fiction. Same goes for the characters. It's true that there are corrupt people in the government as portrayed in the movie but there will always be corrupt people no matter where they are, even in real life.

I've also watched this movie. Here, the government was really disappointing indeed. It just showed injustice, dishonor, and disgrace. Opposite from what they should be upholding. I guess the government's actions somehow proved that when difficult situations arise, our real and worst attitude comes out. It shouldn't be the case in government officials because they have a sworn duty to protect their people and their country. They should have been more fair, considerate, constructive, and true to their duty when they chose how to save all the people they could. They can't produce a better, new generation if their only criteria in saving people is socioeconomic status. It's just discriminating, truly not a good example or model to be admired. I'm not sure if in reality, the government would do the same thing when such circumstances or situations happen too. Maybe they wouldn't. Maybe they have learned enough from past experiences or events or even on this movie to even think of doing the same thing today. I hope that the present government is like what this famous line says, "government of the people, by the people, for the people..." so as the next ones. =)

I'm afraid the movie probably portrayed a picture very close to the reality of how government works. Really if you have money these days you can get anything you want or need. Among those who have money there is very little "helping others." I understand that money talks, however in a crisis situation like that it really should be very different. But I fear it would not be!

I did watch the movie on the big screen. The presentation is amazing. I viewed the movie with diffidence. I did not really believe that thing as this would ever happen. This would have happened perhaps billions of years ago when nature was preparing the environment so living things might inhabit it. Once it is already inhabited there is no need for such a mass destruction. Unless, of course nature wants to rehabilitate the earth with better species.

I saw the movie 2012 if this happened yes the posibility is there that government will do that because they are in the power. But in my opinion that was imagination only of the creator of that movie, the reality is blank and only given fear to the audience, you can see the concept of the story is like adopted from Noah's Ark. But the reality now is God will not leave us nor foresake us. He will not destroy again the earth by flood. God loves us... for sure.. see you around
