Your opinion in long or short term engagement

Short of long term engagement does not matter to other people as long as the foundation of the relationship is "Love". It is not the length of engagement that matters for a marriage to survive. Respect and mutual understanding is a must in a relationship. Which do you prefer, short or long term engagement?
Well for me, it does not matter as long as two of you love each other.But, there is some point that i like also long term engagement for me to think more my partners attitude and personality. Because when you are into relationship, not only love evolves between the two of you, you need also to know if you were compatible each other and will live happily and peacefully with respect. Though long term engagement will determine your partners way of showing how he love and cares you and with that, time can decide if he is the right one for you for the rest of you life.

Sometimes we can get in a hurry to get to the next step in a relationship. Short engagements give us that next step. Longer engagements are more practical for the relationship. This gives you time to know as much about each other as you can before saying I do.

I was engaged for a few years myself until we married. I don't think it matters if its a long or short engagement because you can marry whenever you want and you could always stay engaged and not get married, although the whole point of getting engaged is to marry. Alot of people that get engaged don't always stay together though do they.
