I vividly remember my younger days when our grand parents used to tell us fairy tales mostly at bed time or some times when we pestered them to tell us stories. In the warmth of their compabny and bed we used to listen those stories with rapt attention.Even today I remember some of the stories. But now days either the grand parents or mothers find time to tell fairy stories either to their grand children or their children. My mother in the midst of her heavy domestc duties used to steal some time and tell fairy stories to us.I am also guilty as a grand father to some extent. My wife has attractions in TV serials.Their mother is busy with profession and dometic duties. My poor grand children.I pity them.they do not know any fairy story.Who is there to tell hem. What about you? Do you tell fairy tales to your grand children or children...?

I don't, but my husband does. I like to listen though. He tells these stories to our daughter often. He even wrote one of them down. I think it will be a great memory for our kids later.

There are some times that I do tell fairy tales to my children. However, the majority of the stories that I tell to my children are stories of what life was like when I was a child. The reason that I like to tell stories from my childhood to my children is because of the fact that there is so much that is different about their childhood than the way that things were just twenty years ago when I was a child.

My mum used to tell me fairy stories when i was a young child, but my grandad did sometimes too. There were quite a few different fairy stories my mum used to tell me and all about different things too. Some were funny and some seem to go on for ages even though they really didn't. They are good though.

I used to tell fairy tales to my children. I let my children to sleep with me. So I don't want to spare an extra time to relate fairy tales to them. my children have a very good language development in them. some time this stories may also one reason for their language development.
