Lately, I am switching my interest in listening Kpop music (Korean pop music). I love the singers, groups, rhythmic beat and the music style but I don't understand the lyrics. I feel the emotions they put on to the songs. How I wish I know what the lyrics really meant.

SNSD's songs are really catchy, some older ones are "Gee", "Oh", "Run Devil Run", etc. Shinee's songs are also really fun to listen to, especially "Lucifer", "Obsession" and other songs in their albums. Before, I only listen to Korean songs of artists that I know or I like. But now, I try to expand my preference as I continuously enjoy and discover variety in their entertainment industry (in other genres such as rap, hiphop, etc.

Kpop is great! I've been into it for some years now...
as much as I enjoy western music, the idea of kpop appeals to me so much more! They really train their idols to sing well too- well, not all the time, but if they don't sing too well they tend to have other talents such as dancing, so no-one is left out!
The korean take on the boyband, while clearly influenced by the western example, is so much more appealing to me than the boybands coming out of the western music scene now! Dance choreography is much slicker, vocals often tighter and songs catchier! Not the mention the looks, haha!
I don't think it's all too important to know the lyric's meanings...I mean, once you've seen the translation once, you tend to remember the general idea. A good artist can let you know what the song is about without words, anyway.

Korean songs are really nice to listen to. Kpop, in addition to Korean dramas/movies, is actually what led me to study Hangeul. I'm still a beginner but I'm glad because now I do get a little meaning from the lyrics. I also like Kpop artists and personal favorites would be DBSK (who currently undergo management issues) and Super Junior. With regards to songs, listening to BigBang's Taeyang's songs ("Wedding Dress",I Need a Girl", etc.) is really cool and uplifting for one's mood. At present, I like listening to S.M. The Ballad's "Hot Times".
Lately, Kpop music has been slowly entering and influencing the Philippine entertainment industry. Some are not so happy about this but I think, this is not something to be so negative about. I like Kpop but I still do listen to and admire Fiipino artists and songs. Sure, maybe our music industry has things to learn or new ideas to pick up. I just hope that people would see this influence and expansion as something more positive.

I know how you feel! I have a strong passion for listening to kpop as well, but I don't understand the language so well, or even at all. In addition, each music video is associated with three great elements: signature dance move, fashion, or story to say
I always happen to find three things that keep me loving each vid.
