Wouldn't that depend on how you view oppresion? The full body covering is not a part of islam (islam, i believe, only requires the covering of hair) but rather an enforced custom of muslim countries such as iran, iraq etc.
I personally would feel oppressed if someone told me that i had to keep completely covered just because i am a woman. Other people may feel differently.
The most important factor in this discussion is that oppression is the lack of freedom to express one's individuality or opinion which is exactly the case in countries and cultures where the hijab is enforced.
Please bear in mind that i did not mean to sound racist or offend anyone with my previous statements.

JerusalemFolk,
Thanks for your views. In fact all the religions advocated covering of female body in one way or another. The Bible clearly says to shave off hair of those women who donot cover their heads. And if Christian nuns wear white modest dresses with Hijab,no one objects but if our Muslim women wear such dresses there is lot of hue and cry in the world.....We clearly know what our religion demands from us and what we have to do?
