Soccer or football?

I personally wonder if the players and officials of the Canadian or US Federation feel that they are playing or involved in football. What the rest of the world calls football is called soccer in North America. No wonder that the quality of this play in North American is low. Of course we have our football, a game that is not really played with feet. I would feel more comfortable if this game had a different name. Perhaps then our true football players would practice what other major FIFA nations practice. Perhaps our players would perform enough to compete with the best. Perhaps we would then start dreaming of the day when the World cup will be won by Canada or the other North American nation.
