Seven things Obama must do
There are seven things President Obama should do to change his trajectory and get back his leadership ability in the eyes of the American people. The midterm election showed that he is vulnerable but not as bad off as first many speculated. There is a lull and a sense of uneasiness in the country and the President must start filling in the gaps of the countries worries and make people feel he is in charge and can effectively lead us to a brighter future. His style and manner have left many Americans waiting and wanting. He is often complex and very vague in his perspective and it makes people have a hard time figuring him out. Therefore his poll numbers flucuate downward as people attempt to grasp the meaning of this young African American President with a funny sounding name who has ascended to a post which was seen as impossible just a few years ago. This is list of radical new ideas the President needs to implement to take back the pulse of the country and ensure a second term.
1. Use executive orders ,in Article II, Section 1, Clause 1 of the Constitution, and furthered by the declaration "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed" made in Article II, Section 3, Clause 4. to help direct officers of the US Executive carry out their delegated duties as well as the normal operations of the Federal Government - the consequence of failing to comply possibly being the removal from office.[2]
2. Let Bush tax codes expire : Even though there are people hollering about how unfair this is simple the country can’t afford it. The Republicans continue to talk about too much spending and the need for less government but they don’t have any new ideas except to let the rich run the country and let money trickle down to the middle class and poor. This policy did not work in the past and it won’t work today so the democrats are right to let the tax cuts expire and save the country billions of dollars.
3. Start a new war on terror (against Somalia or Yeman) There are multiple threats against US interest. Somali pirates have been terrorizing shipping and, tourist off the coast of Africa and many nations have asked for support to stop them. The US should be leading the way and providing security and making sure to disrupt possible bases that could sprout up in these places. Yemen has been a hot bed of dangerous and voiltile terrossit planning recently. The US must set a base to directly combat the planning and culture of terrorism in Yeman. Politically, what these moves do is to establish a strong security precedent for the President and lets America know he’s at the forefront of trying to protect us from the new global threats.
4. Change administration officials. If possible he should retire Joe Biden , Move Hillary Clinton to Vice President and make General Pertraus to Secretary of the Defense. He needs to have people that can be combative but tactful representing him on TV and in the media.
5. Remove troops and funding from non combat zones
We have troops in Germany, Japan and many other noncambative areas. We must move are people out and save the money that we spend. These actions could save billions and billions of dollars.
6. Propose adding 5 states to the union
Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Virgin Island and Washinton D.C. Each state except Washington DC could pay 5 billion and add to the dropping of the deficet.
7. Pass Immigration

your ideas are interesting. some may view them as a little radical and out of touch with the situation on the ground. the idea of starting another war is the last thing americans want especialy with the Iraq and Afghanistan issue. most americans want their troops back home and most people be it US citizens or non-americans want the US to stop operating as the world police. the UN should take the mantle in putting world affairs in order.I think the president should not succumb to pressure to change his leadership mentality no matter how bad things seem. he went to office to change the country not for the office to change his mentality.

Yes I agree that many of my ideas may be considered as radical but thats what this situation requires. A skinny black man with a funny sounding name is certiainly not the standard setting for a politician.
Starting a war gives the Presidents an opportunity to look strong and build some strategic initiatyives. He can prop up Boogetman terrorist in Somalia or Yemen both have a history of having terrorist and tell the American people to he will make sure they have no safe haven.
He leadership mentality must become first and foremost a leadership by not asking or trying to seek a consesus in every situation but by having an agenda and then pushing and trying to achieve that agenda no matter what. Be tough build toughness and hold on and see people respect.
