unwanted emails from applications?

anyone else suddenly getting emails from applications on facebook? i have deleted the applications from my account as i never used them anyway but then the next day i will get another one from another group, anyone else had this problem recently? the worst offender is daily horoscopes. i unticked the "receive emails" box then i received 4 the next day!!!

thats what ive been doing but its just really annoying me as i already get enough spam on a daily basis!

When you add an application, usually one of the things they ask for is your email, but if you go to Privacy Settings you can uncheck the box where the application will send you an email.

i had already done that, some the apps that i was getting emails from i had never even added. i have now blocked all apps as i dont use any of them anyway, perhaps i had a wee virus or something in my facebook but since blocking the apps ive not had anymore emails.

you can check the settings and uncheck the receive emails or you can mark it as spam so that it wont be in your inbox again. I get this all the time and I am equally annoyed and end up deleting lots of spams and end up wasting too much time.
