I have my oldest thing, my jumper clothes it was the gift of my mother during my elementary years and tell now i still keep it even though it is no fit on me anymore but still i keep looking to it in my closet. I really treasure all the gift of my mother to me, it really reminds me how i was loved by her so much even in a simple things she gave to us her children. She is the best and i really treasure her for the rest of my life.
What is the oldest thing that you own, can you please share it here...thanks

I have few things, which belonged to grand parents. My dad if he were living would have been 110. My mom's dad was born in 1854. I have Jesus' statue. The date inscribed on it shows that it was made in 1910. I have my mom's singer sewing machine. She had it before I was born. I am 65. Then I have a bone china Tea set that is 70 year old. I am fond of preserving old things.

I have a set of Alice in Wonderland books that I got when I was a kid. They were my Aunts from when she was a kid as well as an Anderson Fairy Tale book. So these books have to be around 70 yrs old, I think. I've got some old letters from my dad who has been passed away for 24 yrs so they are precious to me. I'm sure I got more stuff but these are what comes to mind right off. Oh ....still got the doll cradle that my aunt had as a little girl and I had...oops...lied...had it re-finished and gave it to my grand daughter but it's still in the family. Does that count?

The oldest thing that I own is a book that used to belong to my grandmother. She received it as a present when she was child (in the late 30's), so the book is more than 70 years old. The book is a collection of short stories for children, and most of the stories are very sad and touching and some of them made me cry when my grandmother read them aloud to me in my childhood. Most of them have a moral lesson. I was about 7 years old when my grandmother started reading the stories aloud to me and the time that we spent together are some of my happiest memories from my childhood.

hmm...i think that would have to be my baby photos. they look really old, with some damage here and there, and the most of the pictures are blurred looking. for a very sentimental reason, i keep these things with me, and i plan to keep them until i die...as long as i can....i just can't let go of these photos, even though i don't use them or look at them very often.
