New Ideas Please Help!!!

I am a mom to 9 soon to be 10 children and was wondering if mylot friends can help me with new meal ideas......If you have a breakfast, Lunch or Dinner meal you really enjoy and would Like to share I would really appricate it Thank you for your ideas and help Stacy =)

I like to keep it simple and easy, as I'm a working mom. If your looking for low cost, then I would make rice and serve with some vegetables. I don't know if you have a garden, as I enjoy growing the produce. Several times a week I serve a baked potato, which you could fill with chili to serve as a meal.

I really like your Potatoe idea! That must be very filling and good!!!! IT seems like there is never enough time esp if you work or in my case have 9 children who after school goes here there and everwhere......Thank you so much for responding to my post Stacy

Where do you live by the way? It depends on country. Here in philippines, when it comes to breakfast, Rice and egg would be good. Add some beef if you want. or hotdogs.

Is that an everyday breakfast?? I am in Canada and over here I guess I am lazy! on the weekdays when the kids go to school I normally feed them ceral, oatmeal or toast......I think I need to change a little bit to make a yummy breakfast like yours =)

hi stacy here are some healthy,easy to cook and delicious recipes you would like to try: 1.Poached Egg: Ingredients: 4 chicken eggs 1 tsp light vinegar 1 TBS chicken or vegetable broth ½ medium onion, chopped 2 cups sliced button mushrooms 1 medium tomato, seeds and excess pulp removed, chopped 3 medium cloves garlic, chopped 10 oz package frozen spinach, thawed and excess water removed salt and black pepper to taste Directions: 1.Chop onions and garlic and let sit for 5 minutes to enhance their health-promoting properties. 2.Bring water to a high simmer in a 10-inch skillet with 1 tsp of vinegar. 3.In a separate skillet heat 1 TBS broth. Sauté onion and mushrooms in broth for 3 minutes over medium heat stirring frequently. 4.Add tomato, garlic, spinach, salt and pepper and sauté for another 2 to 3 minutes. 5.When water comes to a high simmer poach eggs for about 5 minutes, or until whites are firm. Remove from water with a slotted spoon and place over spinach mixture. Serves 4 2. Mashed potatoes Ingredients: 2 medium-sized potatoes, sliced thin for quick cooking 2 TBS fresh orange juice ½ tsp garam masala (hot spice mix) 1 TBS extra virgin olive oil salt and white pepper to taste Directions: 1.Bring lightly salted water to a boil in a steamer with a tight fitting lid. 2.Steam peeled and sliced potatoes in steamer basket, covered, for about 10 minutes, or until tender 3.When tender, mash with potato masher, adding rest of ingredients. Serves 4 3.Oysters with Tamarind Sauce Ingredients: Sesame oil: 25 ml Garlic, chopped: 15 gm Onion, chopped: 25 gm Chili powder: 1 Tsp Dates, chopped: 100 gm Tamarind pulp: 20 ml Jaggery: 30 gm Salt to taste Oysters, large sized: 8 Chicken stock: 250 ml Spinach leaves: 6 Method of preparation: 1. Heat the sesame oil in a pan; add the garlic and onion and sauté well. Add chili powder to the pan and mix. Add chopped dates and cook. Add tamarind pulp and bring the sauce to a boil. Use jaggery to adjust the sweetness of the mixture. Season with salt and continue to cook till the mixture reaches saucy consistency. 2. Steam the oysters with chicken stock for 8-10 minutes. 3. Blanch the spinach leaves in another pan and place the steamed oysters on a bed of spinach leaves, and pour the tamarind sauce over it. Serves: 4
