Black Magician Trilogy

I recently read the three books of the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan and thoroughly enjoyed myself. These are the first books of Trudi that I have read and am looking forward to reading some more of her books. I browsed her website and noticed that she is going to write a prequel to the Black Magician Trilogy as well as a follow-up on the last book "High Lord". I will be looking out for them. Have any of you read her novels and if so did you enjoy them?

I have not heard of this triology, but it does sound interesting. What genre of reading is it, and what makes it so enjoyable.

It falls under the fantasy genre and follows more or less the same trend as the Harry Potter stories.

If you loved reading this trilogy, you might as well love the Bartimaeus Trilogy. It is about a kid who suddenly comes to know that he is a magician and has a powerful djinn with which he has to work.
