Okay then.
Before we start here.
Good manners, please.
No biting, no hitting and no making fun of others.
Now, how many of you go to the loo, toilet or whatever you may call it, take your cell phones with?
Do you really have to?
Can't you just be without it for a little while?
My mom almost bit my head off as she phoned and i did not have my phone with me.
Can't a girl go to the loo in peace??
It's like a safe little haven where no one is suppose to disturb you, RIGHT??
Now tell me please, that no one really takes their phones with?
TATA.

Hi, sweetie, I usually don't take it there unless very urgent and essential. But I always read something there, why waste a few minutes? So I always read something there, I don't know how many have this habit, don't know it's a bad habit? But I do have this habit right from my college days.. May be vannie has something better to share on this,

But honestly again, when I talk to you, and I have to get comforted, I do bring my phone and continue at facebook.zero, now, do I receive my sweet lick at the butt?

no, i'm strictly against this.. I never carry my mobile to that place whatever it means..
But once i have done that, it was my birthday and i should not disappoint my friends, so i carried my phone once during my last birthday and nobody knows about this.
I particularly have no intentions to carry a phone to some place where we dream of something !!! Moreover i don't wanna be disturbed already !!!

Good manners sweetheart? Most people talk crap on their mobile. But to be politic, at night work I have to take mine with me as a security measure.
I have, however, often overheard many discuss business transactions whilst in the cubicles at work: for which I see no need. But then I am working as security in the banking industry, which conveniently brings us back to crap.

I definitely don't bring my phone to the btharoom with me (unless I was expecting a VERY VERY important call). It seems sort of creepy to me. To me the bathroom is a private area and when I'm in there I like privacy - Thanks you. :)
Have a great day!

I don't NORMALLY take the phone to the bathroom. Now, if I have to suddenly go while I'm on, I've been known to take it with me, but I refrain from flushing until I'm done with the call.
I don't really feel comfortable chatting to someone while I'm on the pot.
I don't tell most people if I do it, unless they want me to do something that I can't do while I'm there - but in that case, I probably don't want to do it anyway...

well, I wasn't there where I started the phone call, and then went, I don't flush
unless its an emergency I won't take a phone call in the bathroom
Funny thing, when my dad's office moved, they did put a phone in the bathroom, at least the men's room.
Now, if you don't have a private office, sometimes that the only place you can make a personal call without a lot of ears listening in...

Hi saph, have you not heard of multi-tasking? Talking on the phone while doing your business in the loo is like killing two birds with one stone! It not only save your time but it kills boredom especially when one is constipated.

Cell phone is usually in jeans pocket, so it often goes with me. It's pretty rare that it comes out of the pocket though.

which would bring me to my discussion of a couple of years ago, and stories about how people have dropped their phones into the pool, sink, toilet...

Hello, dear.:)
This is not new to me. THis is a very common thing in my household. My husband takes with him his phone inside the comfort room, no matter if he needs to poo or pee or bath.Sometimes, I can hear him talking over it while doing his thing. Or he'd just sit there for so long and just text, text, text until he is done, not relieving himself but until he is done texting. LOL
Sometimes, I also do that especially if I'm waiting for a message or a call but more often than not I'd rather take abook than my phone with me inside the bathroom.:)
Have a wonderful day, Saphy.

I'll use all my myLot earnings to buy a couple of gangsters who will come into the loo where you are sitting without your cell. Think about it!!
Seriously - always keep your cell with you sweetie. Loo or not. You never know who will use your cell for september 11 planning. :) And then, there can be so many names and addresses, and even bank stuff. Nope. Carry it in. You can choose not to answer.

I never take my phone to the loo..although I used to take my mobile phone to the loo at work because that's the only place I could use it without being told off.
Recently, I read about a Chinese guy that got his arm stuck down the loo as he dropped his phone into it. I don't know how he managed to ring the Fire Brigade up though!

I'm not working at the moment hence the reason I don't need a mobile phone now. At least it's saving me money lol.
As for the Chinese guy, the firemen had to destroy the toilet to get his arm out as it was wedged in the bend, so to speak!

I personally don't practice this because I think its sick and agree with you its like a little haven where your not to be disturbed but I do many people that do. I have been on the phone with buddies when they try well going for you know, anyways I have to give them trouble and hang up because I don't want to hear that.lol I can't believe some people do this!haha

Sometimes you will have your phone with you, that is just the way it is. The biggrer act of rudeness is when people call you while you are in the loo. That is so rude. They will just have to keep track of my schedule and know when I am available.
Or, else, I could put the phone down and get back to it later.
Don't you worry about strange noises? How about all the flushing going on around you? I tend to figure that someone will figure it out.

Hi sweetie.
I do not take my phone with me to the loo.
I normally have to look for the damn thing as i tend to leave it anywhere i can.
I'm not that in love with my phone, you know.
I will call back eventually, if i remember and if i can find my phone.
Thanx.
TATA.

You may be interested in my discussion from a few months back, at
http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2318642.aspx
Any one whose job is talking to customers on the phone can tell you we hear everything
And hving experienced what it is like talking business by phone with constant telltale audible clues as to what is going on, I also won't take the phone in the "loo." I can't believe how tacky this society is.

Oh, I wasn't complaining, just pointing to what was brought up in the other discussion. I don't agree that one shouldn't start conversations that was started before, for different people inspire different responses. and the guidelines encourage us to check, but they don't say we can't start a new disscussion.
Hmmm, I wonder how many responses will I get with a discussion on bathroom sounds. I'll have to meditate on that.

Hi sweetie.
Sorry i didn't go and look for topics this time.
It is a disgusting habit actually.
Loved the way you had that in your discussion.
How did you put it?
"I don't think the other end of that line appreciated the loud bursts of sounds I make during bowel movements."
Now that we will not discuss.
Thanx.

Sweetie, i am complaining.
I cannot see what you want to do with your phone in the loo.
What will people think and say?
I normally look, but as my mother made such an issue of me not picking up i just started this discussion.
I will definately respond on that one if you start it.

I don't take my phone into the bathroom for a couple of reasons. Number 1, there is water in there and phones + gravity = somebody getting a new phone. Number 2, its the bathroom or loo as you call it. I'm in there to do my dirty business, not talk on the phone. Now if they would just make a telephone booth with a urinal in it...

I don't personally, but if somebody is going to be using their cell in the loo then why not combine both.
