Have you join any of those dating sites in your time?
I never did dating sites, but regular social networks which had dating tools in them. The last time I ever used one of those was in 2003 where I actually met my current partner which whom we met accidentally. We never intended to meet or even date. We ran into each other at a university and happened to recognize each other and began the friendship there. That was in 2003 and we have been dating since 2004 just coming up on our 6 year anniversary.
So have you joined dating sites? Where they good for you or bad? And did you meet anyone you wouldn't change for the world?

I havenot worked yet in any dating sites and i am not interested spending time in such sites. So i dont have any experience in it. It is interesting to here that you got your partner from a dating site. May be i should also try it.

I met my hubby online long before there was such a thing as internet dating. I met my hubby 13yrs ago in a chat room! Funny how someone in the computer lab can show you how to use the net & their fav sites and come to find your spouse on one of those sites. Sadly I have no idea who the person was in the lab that day but I'd like to thank him for showing me that chat site.

I have never been on any online dating sites, but i've been on alot of social networking sites. I didn't need to use a dating site as i found my perfect partner at the age of 16, so that would be even before i'm able to join those types sites as far as i know.

I think it's a rather dangerous thing because the Internet always offers an illusion.
The friends above here said they were lucky to find their partner in social network, but I don't believe that there wasn't any disillusionment when they met in the real life for the first time. It might be that the appearance wasn't the same as thought, the voice didn't sound like they previously imagined, the height turned out to be taller or shorter than the hoped.
It is because we all tend to lie a little bit (or very much) about ourselves in the Internet and idealize the people we virtually meet, as well. That's nothing bad, that's simply the nature, the psychology of a human. However, sometimes it can be painful.
At the same time, the Internet and dating sites is a tend of the nowadays and we can't escape from that. So let's try. You already have a quite interesting experience. :)
