why do so many natural disasters in Indonesia

i agree bout what you said about our location. The fact that our country location are between two continent make our country fragile and high risk to earthquake and also volcano eruption because we also have lots of active volcano. but i don't agree about what you heard that the only safe place in indonesia are in borneo island. i believe every inch in this planet have they own risk, they own disaster. what i know about this island are lots of the island are covered by swamp, that's make this island have risk to a flood. maybe..

Sangkala : Java and Sumatra and few others island is in Eurasia continental shelf its make them have earthquake every time this self make small movement. I saw the recent news about this continent self movement and they said only Borneo who not pass by Eurasia continental shelf, so its more safe to earthquake than others island. Borneo is not covered by swamp but because their land are so fertile by gambut because they forest give many organic matters. So if they wanna plant anything they must blend their soil with regular soil. If are covered by swamp its not mean it fragile to flood as long they preserve biodiversity around it. Well we are know Borneo are greener than Java. Do you ever hear there flood in Borneo??????. They have Mahakam river but its will not like flood in Jakarta because they had made adjustment with their house. I think the only danger there maybe you can see snake walk around, which will not happen if you stay in the city.
