Phew!!! this is the most intriguing and hard to reply question. Forgetting or erasing the memories or not to be able to make new memories is like living without breath. It is like fish out of water. Can't imagine either way. Since its a question I guess I would prefer not to make new memories and live with the old memories. Coz, the old memories are gold and dear to my heart, even if they are the horrible ones!!

I know I faced the same dilemma. I still don't know if I can decide. I couldn't imagine not being able to remember my kids being born and their bdays and other wonderful memories. But then I would miss out on my grandkids and other wonderful stuff that I have to look forward to in the future. I am still young so I want to say loose the old one. But they would be way hard to let go of.

If I could have been asked this in my 20s, forget all the old ones. My teenage and childhood years have many things that it would be better to forget.

Well, would you forget the new memories too, after you made them? I feel like if you can't create new memories, you would just live in a total purgatory kind of state. I would have to say... make new memories, but only if I could remember THOSE memories. I mean, I have some really fun memories - but I woudln't want to be stuck not being able to make any more NEW ones. Plus, my friends and family could update me on the old memories as best as they could I suppose..
