I am starting to feel the stress, shame and all to the team of Noynoy Aquino. Many of incident already happens to their Team and yet they are still lame on what they are doing. Its been almost 5 months and yet I don't see any changes to the lives of Filipinos. The only changes happen to Filipinos are: 1. Shame to HongKong citizen. 2. Discouragement from the side of Australia and UK what else? and what next to Philippines and Filipinos.

Your expectations may be a tad high. Five months is simply not enough to make any remarkable change in the government. Give it a little more time. It will take time to shame these well-entrenched corrupt politicians who need to be removed in order that the services that are for the people will really reach the people in its entirety. PNoy's team not only has to contend with the newness of the position, but also the explosion of the technology allows us to put them under a microscope in a digital instance. On the changes that you mentioned: (1) the unfortunate incident is not unique to us or to PNoy. It was of course unfortunate, but if you want to blame someone, well, the hostage-taker's gripe was the inaction of GMA's people; (2) what do you mean discouragement - are you talking about the travel advisory? That advisory is nothing new. We have been on the watch list of the US government ever since. As I said, these are problems which have deep roots and cannot be solved by merely changing presidents.

True, tincabzh. We have to get rid of that dole-out mentality and start helping ourselves. But we both know that it is more complicated than that, and we all have to do our part, however little it may be, for this country to move forward. It does us no good if we have a lot of naysayers in our midst - but that's democracy for you.

I agree on what you said!! and we cant change the whole country by just changing the president! now the question is, what change can we do for the country! dont put the blame on the government in some unfortunate events... things happen,i noticed in us filipinos in the last years til now, whoever the president all we do is complain! why not try to help the country bit by bit, we cant expect huge changes in a snap! it takes two to tango and takes patience to see changes you are aiming for...

That's because CHANGE takes time. Are you one of those also who sits around and wait for our country turning into a metropolis like US with out doing anything? there are countries in this world who faces a lot more worse than what's happening to the Philippines. Real Change would start from the election period where people would no longer give in to "vote buying" or have deeper sense of intellectual criticism against ALL candidates. - if this happens, yeah, id believe there's change. i don't blame that on the Aquino Presidency because we are the problem. Let me tell you something: Our time will come, probably we are still in the phase of development after that horrible Martial Law. i think tragedies, should make us STRONGER and united instead of divided.United not in terms of others discriminating us, but to stop the bickering and endless complains to each other. so, just chill.

I really believe that it takes time to change our country into the ideal nation we want it to be. Even in a small organization, it is hard to create a change, how much more in a country like Philippines. Let's give them more time. The Aquino administration has done significant things like getting investors so as to provide more jobs in the country. Let's not focus on the negative things that have transpired during his administration. And yes, let's help in our own little ways. As they say you can't criticize a government, you did not help build. God Bless, Philippines!

Ha ha ha ha ha. Honestly speaking, I didn't vote Noynoy Aquino because in the first place, I don't trust him. I really don't trust him. He become president here in the Philippines because his last name is "Aquino". He's famous because of Cory Aquino, Ninoy Aquino and of course, Kriss Aquino - the actress. He didn't do anything in our country even from the past and I really don't understand why Filipino people choose Noynoy Aquino as a president. The "mentality" of each Filipino citizen vote him is because of what Ninoy Aquino did from the past during the time of Ferdinand Marcos. I don't understand that kind of "mentality". Well, I think, we must suffer the consequence.

Dear, it's only 5 months since the administration is governing our country. 5 months is not that much, okay. Why don't you give them time. You know what, NO ONE can ever change the condition of our country right now. I mean, we're suffering with regards to our low economy, and who do you think will be able to change that? Do not criticize their weaknesses, but instead their strengths. Try putting yourself on their position. It's really hard, you know. Give them time.

hello Syoti20, You mention two changes happened to Filipinos, I think you're just focusing on what the other countries perceived about Philippines, you're generalizing it a bit, But still I can see the changes in Filipinos in a little way, like the new built in new roads, bridges, subway tunnel, etc. And I still think you're right about what happened on the hostage incident. The police or the swat must have that equipment or tool that can temporarily blind the hostage taker and in the same way the hostage taker can't concentrate anymore and the swat team can now rescue the hostages. In any way, they must have that technique, poor Filipinos. On the other side, Filipinos are able to cope and learned what have just happened, aja to Filipinos. ^_^
