Around the world thousand or may be million of various religious sects according to their beliefs and culture. Every religion have their own way how to teach their member about salvation, about their faith, about the importance of their religion. In your experience, opinion and views share with us your knowledge how religion helps in our salvation or religion does not help. In that case tell us also what to you can drive for salvation... see you around..

hello visavis!
Religion helps in our salvation but it will not assure us of salvation. COnfusing? well, this means that no one religion can claim theirs is the only religion whose members will have eternal salvation. It does not play out that way. Salvation is a personal thing. No matter what religion you belong to, as long as it is God you're praying to, as we all know HIM to be, and as long as you live your life in accordance to his will and as long as you're truly sincere and devoted to your faith, well, i guess you will have eternal salvation.
Religion is just a tool, the way, to God's way, it is not the way itself. God is the only way to eternal salvation by accepting him into your life and heart.

A little confuse but I understand your deep points. Anyway if you don't mind for me the real way how we having eternal salvation is our faith to God through Jesus Christ... bible say Jesus in the way, the truth and life no one can come to the Father (God) except through me (Jesus).... see you around and thanks

Religion can never and will never save anyone. It doesn't matter what religion you are in. Your faith will save you. We may be divided by faith but we are one on believing that there is God who made everything possible here on earth. What we believe leads us to what we do. Even if we are devoted in our religions if we do not have faith in it, it is useless. I am a non-practicing Catholic. I believe he listens and he forgives. ^_^

Yes I agree with you that faith can save us, so through faith you must act according to your faith. One suggestion is try to learn how you can know the God you believing in - mean to have deep relation to Him, not only know him by name... thanks see you around

Hello visavis, I think religion can be both positive and negative. Religion is man's attempt to reach God, and when man uses religion from a pure, honest heart then the experience is positive and will aid salvation. Wrong motives will warp religion and preclude salvation.
