Unfit to be a parent....

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise! My brother and his girlfriend are expecting there first baby together next year to my HORROR! They both take drugs and have no sense in money what so ever they go to my nan every week and take all her money that she has after her shopping which is around £100 they both get benifits (UK) which is so annoying as well as my brother gets DLA (Disablity Living Allowence) cause he has smoked so many drugs and made him self depresssed (diagnoised depresion) but the dr doesn't know he takes drugs, his girlfriend has a daughter already which social services took from her this year due to them filling the bath with kettle water and she was in the bath it scolded her leg (small section but not the point)her daughter is 7years old and now lives with her grandad. My point to all this is that if they can not fend for themselfs how will they be able to cope with this baby my brother isn't the type that can handle noise at the best of times, and he fact they hurt her little girl scares me.... I want to know if I could apply for the baby myself as I have children and live miles away from them as I don't get on with my family, I know some of you will say they can get help but I disagree completely as when I asked her why would she want a baby when you have no money or jobs and your on drugs and her reply was that "It will give my brother something to do and get them a house" Grrr so annoyed at this and to top it off I am in the wtong for not being happy! I know that some people on here will be shocked that I want to take the baby for myself and that's fine but I want this baby (My neice or nephew) to be safe and have a happy up bringing and not to be brought up around drugs and violence! It will end up in care and I don't want this at all, if I can give a child a life I will do my up most to do this..... Views welcome....! Thanks for reading.. Kate
