Is this typical of The Biggest Loser?

This is only my second season watching The Biggest Loser and I am really at a loss... Last season, everyone was very helpful to the other contestants (with the exception of one person who got sent home pretty early). This season, it's TOTAL game-play. And what's funny about it is that it's backfired a few times on the players. How have the other seasons been? Do they manipulate each other so they can win the cash prize or do they really care about everyone trying to lose weight and get healthy? I'm talking about the players here, not the trainers.

I've been a Biggest Loser viewer from the time that the show started. I've seen that every season there are some people that are strictly about playing the game and there are other people that are really about the changes in their weight and in their lifestyle. What seemed to be the case with the season that just ended is that there were more gameplayers than you typically see in one season. Despite that, however, I really feel like it was a great season.

This season I think it's just the people. In most of the season's past that I've seen it's been 1 or 2 game players from the beginning.. but then the serious game play doesn't start until later on. This year I think we just have more game players than usual. At least this year's game players aren't as annoying as some of the others I've seen on here... at least not in my opinion. I think the worst ones were Tracey from a couple years ago and Melissa from last year! Gawd I hated them! There were other pretty bad ones before that but I did not see any of the earlier seasons.

This season has been a little off of sorts compared to the Seasons before, and even the Trainers are feeling like something is being lost here. Personally it does not make for the Big appeal that this show is supposed to be about either. In reality what is $$ if you do not learn what it takes to keep your weight down when you go home and continue to consider it all a Game? There have been some on there this yr. that personally I will not want to follow like some of the other yrs. past and hope overall their game play does not continue to backfire on them and they end up just as Big or bigger again in life.

I've watched a lot of the seasons and I've never seen the game play this bad. I haven't watched a whole lot of this season, but from what I've seen it's all game play. There is a lot of throwing weigh in's and teams ganging up on one player. It's a shame that it's come to that instead of losing the weight to get healthy and improve their lives. I think the changes they have made to the weigh ins and stuff have affected the players. I know last season Jillian was upset over some of the changes that were made because it wasn't fair to the contestants.

I've watched this show from the very beginning and there has always been some sort of game play going on. But this season seems to have more and starting earlier with it. They have changed the show a bit this season and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with the game playing that is already going on. Sure everyone would love to win the money at the end but the real reward is the weightloss and getting their lives back isn't it? The ones that are only their for the money will end up gaining the weight back and will have lost out on the benefits and once in a lifetime chance they had to really change their lives. (in my opinion)
