Just ranting on Neg. raters :-(

Yes this happened to me too, I, as a newbie, I discussed it with my seniors too but they too are facing this problem. I didnot know about this before, this happened to me when I reponded to a post, where a member was complaining about her deleted discussion and some one tagged that discussion intentionally as poll or abusive, after posting that comment, in next few hours my rating gone down 12 or 13 points, and I was surprised with that, how did it happened in just few hours, we respond to different discussions, use our minds and give positive suggestions and a traitor comes in and ruin all our effort, is this the value of what we discuss over here, this is just nothing but demoralizing us I think admin should take some steps to cope with this problem and I too dont know after discussing over here in this topic how much points I ll go down but I dont care, at least my voice reached to some senior and serious members who are playing an important role to keep our moral high Thank L.Knight and other senior members....:)

I have tried really hard not to let it get to me, as my points go up and down and I feel really dizzy. No matter how sweet and positive I am, it seems it does not matter as my rating keeps dropping. I have no clue who would be doing this as I am one never to be negative, I sure hope they stop as it is getting me really down. Sometimes I just want to quit as I feel my efforts are wasted but then I come back and see my great friends and can't help but think that they too are affected but what can we do when admin does not help.

I strongly believe that people are still doing their games of tricks to some of the accounts here. A friend has noticed that my reputation has not moved for months now and I am equally surprise myself despite being very active here. Who are we to blame, trolls or a faulty rating system? I don't discount the fact that Judas is within our community.

Its really frustrating to see how some users of this site like those the ones you described here abused the system. It is time that the admin has to take seriously into this kind of behavior. Since mylot is big community we cannot control on what people can do except those who has the powers to do so. They indeed are trolls, traitors to this site and should not be tolerated.

Hi sweetie. Trolls, traitors, hypocrites, name them. You get them you cannot get rid of them. Unfortunately this will always happen as long as that freaking button is there. TATA.

Gosh I'm really new here and I'm already getting scared and bothered by this at the same time. If these kind of people really exist here in MyLot. They got to find themselves something else to do and fast. They are ruining other peoples good intentions. Hopefully they will understand one day. Peace to all.

I saw that one of the victims has contacted admin, I hope they do something about it, because it isn't right. Though truthfully, I don't even bother looking at the star, in fact I don't even know what color or number I have right now. But I do rate positive, even on ones that I regret later..Only occasionally do I rate neg, and that is because the person was very rude and out of control. Or, sometimes I don't rate at all. I do this when the replier makes a comment and it sounds off the wall, but also like maybe they were confused. So I question them, if I don't hear back, then I rate neg, because they obviously didn't want to discuss it..

letran I think a lot of newer users have got the stupid idea that if we do not all agree with their own ideas, they can minus them. Mylot itself explainded no do not negate someone simply because they do not agree with your own ideas, this is wrong do not do it. so they make trolls of themsevelse to bring down innocent mylotters who simpley had different points of view.I know that mylot admins can detect trolls as they did it for me years back when someone trolled me from a ten star down to a 5 star. they caught the culprits and banned them from mylot. I got back t o a 9 and am stuck there now. In a way yes i feel they are traitors in our midst. To me this is really vile to minus anyone just for having a different opinion than yours.the very art of discussions is based in our having varied opinions as thats what discussing is all stating their own points of views.unless we are flaming or insulting the other person, the fact that we may not agree is part of discussing.Most people do not agree with everything written here and yet they all respect each other.

yes i wish people would just live and let live. why do they want to do this? it makes no sense. just get a life isay this is the only way some have of making money for food and such. its sad. not fair. i think administration should be the only ones decide on the star rating, etc. what goes around, comes around and trolls will get theirs. i had a friend start back 2 times now and still had to quit.

hello Letran, Uh uh...are they on the loose again? I received two notifications from Admin saying that the thread which i posted a response was deleted due to duplication. What the h*ck...it's not actually a duplication (not copy pasted ugh!) Same topic since the topic header is a newbie,and we cannot control newbies to posts same topic. And how can newbies even aware of that they've posted same topic (thu the content is not totally the same)they are newbies and i also done the same thing,posting the topic that came to my mind. I feel sad when i received the notification,not because my response was deleted,but because it was reported as duplication... Well,Admin already checked about that matter,since one mylotter come to that newbie's rescue (who happens to be my common friend too) wish we could do something with things like these...it's frustrating sometimes. have a good day always dear brother

Well, I have been a victim (?) of such neg raters.But, I did not take it against that person because for me it was what she felt during that time, so let her... It was so easy for me to somehow make a wild guess who rated me neatively because I have no foes here and my star doesn't fluctuate that much. Besides, you can always sense that when they replied to your response, can't you? Still, i don't feel upset and offended. But for your friends' cases, maybe, Mylot admin should do something about it. Though the stars really do not bother to some but it is somehow not a good motivation to see your star dramatically changing colors the negative way....I really hope this thing can be fixed soon... By the way, I forgot what are these stars and numbers for? Do they affect our earnings? Have a great night, Knight. And hush... Be well. OK?

Well to be honest , i wasn't aware of there is this star rating system here. I don't know how you get a good rating and it is sad that it is possible that people could rate you just judging on their state of mind or moods at the moment. I hope the Admin will do something about this cause me myself will feel bad if my rating is going down, inasmuch as from this moment i will be checking on it with regards to my account. There are bitter mylotters here who for some reason hates it so much when other people are excelling and they are not. Peace to all mylotters! Let love and peace prosper at mylot.

I have read of many such cases in mylot. They are being bothered by trolls and those victims are frustrated with them as well as mylot. Complaints had been made countless times but admin seems to be useless. When one is targetted by trolls, it's a never ending process. This might be one reason why number of mylotters joining are almost equal to the number of members leaving. Trolls are destroying their joy here! I welcome trolls to target me and it's an open invitation for them here. I don't care about ratings at all.

I never knew the significance of the ratings until you can see your score once you hoover over the star. I notice my star was higher the other day and everyday I log in, my numbers reduce. I think it is unfair to get a reduced star without an explanation. The admins should make it where.. if you give a positive feedback star then you have to include a reason along with a negative to make it fair.

My star rating luckily has not dropped it is still at a 10. I am very happy about that. I feel that I dont write nonsense replys like a whole bunch of mylot members I see who just have a stupid chat going on like how are you today? then the next person responds with im good. then the next person responds hello... Its so dumb. Mylot doesnt want that. I dont know what the case is with your friend who is getting rated down. I see some people who leave great posts and comments all the time but still have a low rating no matter how many positives I give them so I assume they are being trolled.

I wish there was no such thing as a rating system and that everybody was the same. I would like not to bother with reputation ratings because it can really bring a person down to see their star drop for no apparent reason. I wish admin made some changes in regard to this, maybe admin should be the only ones who can rate, I don’t know...But this system sucks a bit...

I don't know about ranting and if trolls are still around because as of this days. Mylot very strict on bad words most especially not suitable for the community

hi Lertran, Some things have not yet change and so is the rating which makes anyone who become a victim feel uninspired with a site which is good payer and have friendly members. Those two things makes a member stick but come a time to take a rest and do some other things since some are people have the fun to take other down for their own pleasure. I myself become less active posting or starting a discussion as I have fun more doing task such as the article writing and when their is no rating involve such reason make me stay for good. This site could attract more user by removing the rating system since it become a source of abuse and unfair treatment by other members at the same time become a source of disappointment for some folks..whether they admit or deny it..

well, I think there are just some people who just do not know how to rate. Reading on some posts that I responded to, some who replied to my post just are not reading and keeps on posting irrelevant post and are very very far from what I meant in my post. So, I guess, if some people cannot post or reply a good answer, most likely, they do not know how to rate properly. :) My rating got a negative rating too from 84 down to 82.. and I think I know who that "chucky" is... he is playing... CHILD'S PLAY!

Sure it's annoying. These people are pests. But it shouldn't really be a big deal...
