My grandfather stooped down suddenly, fortunately he was held by my grandmother protecting his head from the floor. That's what happened.
While doing my lotting, I just heard a noise coming from my grandfather's room, and there we found out, My grandfather sitting on floor, he is complaining that he felt dizzy and all he saw was faded into dark that's why he is out of control. When I touched and helped him up, his skin is so cold, he looked pale and seeing not comfortable of what he his feeling. Looking at him physically he is not stable. I monitored his blood pressure and though the result was normal.
Both my mom assisted him to the comfort room, there he vomits,my second thought was, do we need to rush to the emergency room and ask some help there? but I think I have to some assessment first before doing so, First I asked him to smile, to raise his arms and asked him some questions, he talked coherently, so I think it was not a stroke, I massaged his head for he complained of headache and we also offered him warmed water and warmed tea.
My grandfather has a history of mild stroke , hypertension and have irregular heart rhythms. He was just admitted last October and prescribed with maintenance medications.
We think of possible causes why did that happened, again maybe it was a stroke, but difficult to distinguish; another would be maybe because of what he ate during our dinner, it was already nine o'clock when we had our dinner and it was a pasta family type of food that is hardly digested by our stomach, he ate a lot and he sleeps immediately after that, or maybe because of his irregular heart rhythms,..
I can't think anymore of the possibilities,
How about you? can you suggest any possibilities why that happened? Or any ideas about events like this situation? What did you do?

hi Bingster I have a hunch he was having some shortness of breath
which made him dizzy and thus he fell. Also his blood pressure was
probably way up too. It could well have been a mini stroke. The
nausea and vomiting could have come from a mild heart attack as
these are often symptoms of a mild heart attack.I am wonderinf if
your grandfahter has been tested for diabetes as often when my blood
glucose is too high I get definite shortness of breath although my heart checks out okay.If he has diabetes a late meal of a huge amount of
pasta which is high in glucose could have shot his blood sugar up high and you can vomit due to very high blood sugar and get dizzy and even faint.I was nauseated last night at dinner and my blood sugar was too high, and I felt like I would pass out. thank goodness the feeling did go away.your tests for stroke and the results seem to me to prove he did not have a stroke. I know once my blood pressure was a way to high and the er doctor kept asking me these questions about who is the president now, what day is it, l could answer them all with correct answers and could lift up my arms and my legs so no stroke thank G od for that.

HEllo Hatley,
I can see that you're also experiencing dizziness too, and you're doctor also assessed you if you really have stroke, that's a good idea, you consulted a family doctor. I do miss a thing, taking glucose level would be a possible way too. Although he is not diabetic still he needs further monitoring right? and maybe he had mild heart attach, fortunately, he is feeling better now, and he is able to walk in and out of our house. Hopefully, today is his x-ray examination schedule, we can consult the doctor about what happened yesterday.
Thanks God, that you're feel nauseated had gone already. Maybe next time you'll have to control on what you eat, and so as to my grandfather. It was the food's fault, for it is so damn delicious.LOL. Anyway, have a healthy diet! ^_^

Oh my, I hope he is ok. I think maybe he should see a doctor considering his past medical history, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a professional to look at him.

Hello Bingster. I am sorry to hear that your grandfather suffered from this unexpected case. But I do expect him to be feeling good again without the feeling of faint. Your grandfather was also lucky to have your grandmother protecting him back to then. I wish your grandfather all the best with good health. Take care.
