So strange - heavy rain outside but no water in my pipes

Last night it was raining heavily outside but I could not get a single drop of water from my pipe. Isn't a strange irony?
Other kind of irony could be you win a years worth of free dining from a steak house the day after you decided to be a pure vegetarian.

Well it happens to us most of the time..... Raining so hard yet no water coming from the pipes.
Our water supply here is so bad that we sometimes don't have water for more than 24 hours.
