Hi everyone, we know that Spongebob squarepants is so hilarious and funny but most of the characters in that show act like a stupid moron and most of the scenes are far from reality, so I think our children can't learn anything from it. Would you recommend your child to watch this show?

they're only children. why must everything they watch have to teach them something. if something can't be just for the fun of it when you're a child, then what's the point.

I would def let my children watch this show. Not all children's shows have to be educational some can be just fun. It also helps that I love this show and wouldnt mind sitting and watching it with my children. I cant say the same for some of the other stupid kids shows these days like the wiggles. I really hate that show and would hate to have to watch it with my children.

As young as they are they need to enjoy their childhood. Not all things are learned from TV shows..Parents are also a big factor for their child to grow following the right path. I would love to recommend watching Spongebob, me too watched it.hehhe

There was this 4 year old kid in US who was able to saved his drowning friend because of spongebob. When his friend was drowning he realized the situation was the same with what he watch on spongebob so copied how the drowning character was saved. The four year old boy was featured on the news last month. So i think that even if the characters acts sometimes stupid children get lessons from these kind shows. But of course it also means they can get negative side if there is.

I don't really think it's stupid. Humor runs on a lot of intelligence, really. Not that I am undermining a child's intelligence, but they don't have the ability (YET) to grasp the flow of plot. They respond to individual sequences. Spongebob isn't a moron. He's just a sea creature who loves life and values the people in his life, even if they don't really like him. Now that's an example.

I think not all the parts of the show shows that stuff. Sponge bob teaches us to be a nice person even though he is really bad to him. and also sponge bob teaches us to value the friendship :)
