I decided to resigned to my previous employer for the sake of my children. First month of school I try to tell my boss I have to be a mom since my eldest son will be joining big school as first grade...but then suddenly my boss did not allow my excuse..my youngest son accompanied by my mom, and shes too old to bring and fetch my eldest to the school while taking care of the youngest I try harder to tell my boss I really need to resigned...Until one day when I fetch my eldest he bumped his head to the stair in his school so we rush it to the e.r in some hospital near the school and done a 6 stitches in her forehead...the doctor said my son is under observation since the head is involved..I called my boss that I am in the hospital and borrowed some money for them...since I don't have any benefits...the hospital bill was paid the school but the medicine was paid by me...before going home my boss told me that there is so many undone jobs that I have to finish so I need to report the shop the next day...The saddest part is my son needs me and he is injured and under observation, i need to know if his head is aching, if he has to vomit or feel to vomit, if he feels nausea or something like that...but my boss don't really care so I report the next day...when i approach them to give some leave they did not gave me because of some project undone which they also know how to do that I mean if they really care to my son they make me rest to and take care of my son for at least 2-3 days. After the project done... I decided to leave the company they don't want me to resign I have to move so I decided to get an AWOL...and then finally I gave them the resignation letter which I mention that I can't work anymore while worrying about my son's situation.... after 3 months my boss hated me so much....because most of the clients keep asking about me...and then suddenly they thought that I can make my own business at home if I want... and I will talk to their client and steal them to the company...I am not that pathetic sorry...but most of the clients who are calling me and asking if I have a business at home I told them none...Until more clients keep asking me why don't you put up a business to your home...and they will be my client....I think it a million times and then I set up a home base desktop publishing and lay-outing services.... and now client are ordering they materials on mail/net and I delivered the product as soon as I finished the projects....my previous employer are now really angry with me because of what happen that most of their clients are now contacting me...and making me their suppliers thanks to them...I don't wanna mention what my boss's saying about me and telling about them...they survey too...my question is, is it possible to make money by your own talent and skills for your own and not for them (company)of course I also need an income so I have to fix my home-office set up for my clients...is it wrong that I deal with their clients I did not steal them they just love my work and convinced me to put the said business and they will help me find a clients..more clients... for my previous boss, whatever your feelings is..it is now right to make someone just like someone sometimes its better to be a better one than just someone. And I also know that everybody has the right to make them self satisfied and have at least a money in the pocket by giving some company ad materials, bznz card and everything...at least I need to fed my family... so I learned that putting a business is a great help and I am just at home and I see my kids and I have my own time of mylotting...or search my needs...for you guys did i did something wrong?

I really admire the decision and action that you've taken. Family should be a priority because a job can be replaced anytime, but a family should be for keeps. We don't want to regret back in life not spending enough time with our children. It was a great move for you to set up your own home-based business. It is a very ideal situation for working moms. You did not steal clients. Clients flocked to you because you give excellent service. More power to you in your endeavors :-)

Hi, I can say thay you just made the right decision. You're right for making your family your priority.Don't be bothered by your previous employer because you're no longer bound by them. I'm really happy the way your business goes. It's really hard to put up a business nowadays and you're blessed to have one. Just continue to work hard and be honest in all your dealings. For sure your business will continue to prosper.
