Online Learning for languages

Do you find it useful to learn online for a certain language of your interest? Have you experience any good website that offer a good learning experience? What kind of rates other than free is appropriate (by the hours, in which level of flexibility)?
I have learned Cantonese over a span of one year via Skype and it was totally a success.

online learning is the best way for me to know more other language in the world. When on class, I just get teoritic not application, so I practise all of I get on the online media. For example, I try to writing my blog with english language and use Hindi language on my facebook, but on daily i use Indonesian language

It is useful but it is better to learn in class. I have tried to learn German online and I found it was difficult. If I have some basic about the language that that I wanted to learn it online, I will learn the language online. If not, I will choose to learn it in class. I could speak in four different languages. I could speak Malay, English, Arabic and Japanese.
