Querky school tradition

So every year, my high school puts up a show called Mr. Ace. Senior guys would basically have to compete in a pageant show where they dress up like girls. This year, my boyfriend decided to do it. (He claimed it's just because this is for a good cause because it'll help raise money for United Way)So the guys have to have different outfits for casual, swimsuit, and formal wear, and then they have to show off a talent. This year, most of them danced really skanky-like, but there was one contestant who sang "I feel pretty" in a crazily deep voice. Ok, my boyfriend went all out. He wore eyeshadow and lip gloss, painted his nails, wore fishnet stockings, had a long blonde wig, and swayed his hips like crazy. My questions are: does your high school or any school have weird traditions like mine? And have you ever seen a male pageant show and did you enjoy it? I had a great time watching and laughing at all the guys trying to strut and fix their boobs xD
