Hello girls. I'm 25 years old girl, who doesn't care a lot about her look.
Soon i started to make a plan about the way i look - more about clothes, skin care, home made masks about my face and hair, colors, make up. I got only 2 colors of polish, one lipstick and maskara Can you imagine, what a girl am i?
For now i started to move more - walks or things at home, to loose some calories. I think that's really good start. It makes me fresh every day and not so lazy, as i usually am, because im a smoker.
Any advices are welcome. Do you remember when you wanted to become from usual girl a lady? Where did you start from? What is the first you changed in yourself?

I was always both a lady and a boyish girl. It really depends on the situation, on moment I can be feminine and sexy and the other I can be worse than a construction worker. This helps me keep a balance, since I can be everything really. I have been using makeup, wearing high heels and dressing up ladylike ever since I was 11. Some things I don't do though, for example care much about my hair. Most girls go to the hair salon very often but I haven't gone more than 10 times in my life and most of them I went because it was either for free or very cheap. I really think it's a waste of money to pay that much for hair! Anyway, I got carried away, here's my advice for you: get the basics, learn how to use them and advance from there. The basic items you'll need are: compact powder, mascara, lip balm or gloss, eyeliner, eyeshadow and blush. A lot of women use foundation but I'm against that since it usually looks "caked" and doesn't let the skin breathe. If you have blemished you need to cover, only use some foundation on the spot and then apply powder to your entire face. I have a powder that covers up perfectly and looks very natural so it shouldn't be hard to find. Also, blush is important and will give you a sweet, healthy look. Eyeliner will define your eyes shape and optionally you can add an eyeshadow. Always use lip balm or gloss for moisturized lips. Search online for detailed makeup tutorials...
Now about clothes, I suggest you visit the closest store to you with attractive yet cheap garments (like H&M) and you'll definitely find something you'll like. I don't think face masks are very needed by girls your age but if you like them or find them relaxing then go ahead. If you have more questions, post again and let us know how you're doing...

I am amazed ;) I thought it is only me. I have a eye liner, mascara, couple of lipsticks and skin care products ;) ;) ;) But I believe I look my best without any make up. It justs hides me.
I definitely suggest You to start with a good care. Cleanser, toner, moisturizer with a sunscreen for a day and night cream for a night. then you can add scrubs and masks. This has been my base for the last 6 years, I use the same brand and I am happy with it.
To change Yourself, You have to change -your self talk and image of Yourself. Once You have changed that You will act form the point of view of that new person.
Keep educating Yourself and ACT ;)
Good luck, keep us posted how is everything going.

Yes, i always believed that natural people are more beauty than those, who try to look that way - its funny, if you are yourself, what can be better? Just little care like shower, good smell, clean skin and so on, but present days thats not enough I can see a lot of young girl looking like mummy and then i said myself ... WTF
So now ... more girly habits and more fun ...

WOW!
I can't believe I actually find someone who's actually in the same situation like me. I am about your age too, and I am trying to be more concern about my look (too), because... well, I don't need reasons to look better. I have been using skin treatment and starting a diet plan and try to have some exercise everyday.
I agree that losing weight is the first thing to do, but I don't agree if you just jump into the decorative cosmetics like eye shadow, lipstick and mascara. I believe beauty started from the good skin treatment.
In mid 20s you have to start to think about skin and facial treatment, especially we're smoking, because the skin is not as elastic like when we were younger. For basic treatment, at least you have to own your own facial wash, toner, moisturizer (try something with uv protection for daily use, especially if you're working outdoor), and night cream. You need eye cream too, because you don't want to have wrinkles in your eyes when you reach 30.
If you want to start using make up, make sure you have cleansing lotion for make up, because you can't use only facial wash to clean mascara (especially if it is water proof).
Good luck, Lady :D
