So season 8 has ended. Is it just me, or do you think Mondo should have won?

I love to watch project runway and this season I was completely floored and mad at who won this season, Gretchen Jones. I hated her clothes throughout the season, and I mean every single piece she "designed", if you can even call it that. I believe that Mondo Guerra was robbed and should have won hands down. Throughout the season, there were many great designs from all the designers, but hers always came up short to me. Mondo's clothes were always so interesting and colorful and I just think he has a true talent for designing. Michael C. and Andy were also deserving of the winning spot, but unfortunately none of the good designers actually won. Hopefully they will all go on to do bigger and better things, and we will see them all doing well in the future. So what do you think, what designer do you think should have won? Please tell me your opinions. I look forward to reading the responses.

I totally agree with you. So do all the people I know who watch Project Runway. I absolutely couldn't believe that Gretchen won. All season long her clothes have been so bland in my opinion, whereas Mondo's were creative and vibrant. I can't believe that the judges didn't call Gretchen out on her little 'diaper' shorts in the finale, because they had called others, like April, out on that earlier in the season. Also, did you notice how the judges (atleast Nina & Michael) kept making the remarks that her clothes were so commercial and department storish and they were saying it in a GOOD WAY!! Normally, when the judges say that it's a bad thing, not a good thing, yet they let her win. I think Nina & Michael were totally out of their minds during the finale judging lol.

I did think Mondo should have won, and I was very happy for him when he won on Allstars. I didn't have cable or satellite when the show started so I have mostly seen reruns until recently. Unfortunately I missed most of season 9.
