There are lots of online opportunities nowadays. A site maybe be interesting for one but boring for another. One can start on a site and finds out that its not that easy to earn online but just keeps on working on that site because it has been fun to do it anyway. Or one just leaves a site because after a few computation, the few cents earned everyday doesn't compensate for the time spent and electricity consumed.
I have three online sites that i work on.One as a medium of my poetic side, another wherein i earn a considerable cents per day and another that I would like to start on working soon.
But i think for me, i would only continue working online on a site is when it gives me enjoyment doing that site and cents i earn always play secondary.
What makes you stay in an online job?

That is very true. In my case i dont have a real job where i have to leave the house and report for work somewhere. I have a business right in my house which is computer related too. So my usual day is running a business and doing online tasks at the same time and believe me, i am all burnt out by 5pm. (^_^)

I stay with a site for "hope". It is the reason why I don't easily give up with a site that is not delivering what I expected. If the site pays me in cents but has the capacity or potential to pay me more in the future if I build a system around it that can increase it output and give me more freedom, then I continue working with it even if the pay is not satisfactory. But if the site pays low and at the same time has no potential for increased income because it is too much dependent of my personal efforts and does not give referral income or overriding income, then forget about it.

Well for me i think i stayed with a site long enough and i just lost interest doing it when i got my paypal verified. I am quite dissapointed with how the traffic is moving there and with all the hardships i have poured on the page, can i believed that i earned about $3 only since last december?

Time spent vs earnings vs enjoyment is a good question, I personally end up sticking with earning options that I enjoy promoting.
I've always done a fair amount of gaming that results in me earning money, and so a portion of time everyday is spent on that.
Then I also stick with sites that have low payout that are easy to tell people about.

yeah you are right. those few cents that are earned daily are not enough to pay for our bills. yet i continue to do task here at mylot. i think it's just the excitement of earning a single penny out of just being online and participating to some posts.

I'm with you there. I devote a considerable amount of time in locationary.com, entering new places and cleaning up the database, even though I only actually rack up virtual points. I have neglected writing articles when this gives me a decent income. I guess I stay in this site because I am interested in it even though I have a lot of topic that I want to write. Yet everyday, I find myself spending countless hours here.

i have 4 online sites that i work with..i 1 site i earn 8cents a day and a dollar sometimes,in other site i earn 4 cents a day,in another sites i earn sometimes sometimes i dont because its hard to qualify on their survey.in other site i earn money too by selling clothes,shoes,accesories,ect.i stay on this four sites even it dont pay much money because i enjoy working on this site..reading emails,taking survey,share disccusion and selling my own products..and earn lil bit amount of money.

I like the title of your discussion - business with pleasure. This has always been on my heart. It is easy to be in any business but doing the ones where you are so passionate about is something else.
Many online entrepreneurs often do businesses via the internet just to earn money. Wonder how many really select what they want to do?
