Laptop Charger Beeping

I was working on my laptop when I noticed that the laptop was not charging when it was clearly plugged in. This was usual as the connection was loose and all I had to do was adjust it to get it charging. But now, nothing is working for the charger. And it is... beeping. This is strange beeping noise from the charger. To make matters worse, this is a school laptop, and I have important assignments to do on there. Help, anyone.
