It was a complete disaster. I am distressed about seeing her, but I am also amazed at what wonderful things can be achieved through modern technology. The girl showed me couple of pictures, and she looked really good there. She had a cousin and she looked wonderful too. We chatted for a few months and then decided to meet. I took one of my close friends along with me and went to the decided spot. She came along with her cousin. Good Lord!! I've never seen such a beauty in my life, and nor do I want to see it again. That close friend of mine still rebukes me for taking him with me on that particular day. He says I intentionally destroyed his mood. But believe me guys, she looked like an angel in the photos she showed me.

maybe he got jealous because you were meeting a beautiful lady. i think you should have went there by YOURSELF. believed me, he'd probably like that girl too and that's why it destroyed his mood.

No, i haven't really experience meeting some one online. but i did have a best friend which i got to know through messaging or chatting in the internet. sadly, we don't talked that much. I have known some one like in the text messaging. i believe you know the "textmate" mania then, i was a text mate addict. chatted with this person for three months, and finally after seeing her, she didn't showed up. and it was even in my birthday then.

letranknight im sorry that that girl didnt show up. i guess she didnt like you that much as she said. if she considered you as a best friend like you consider her for sure she would go to meet you. sorry that you felt sad because of her. wish you forget that and be happy always

I have been in a long-term committed relationship with someone that I met online... he randomly IM'd me and, contrary to what had been my habits at that time, I answered back. We got to know each other long distance and then took a couple of vacations together. We eventually ended up together permanently, after a couple of years. I believe online relationships are very real, very possible and can also be disastrous... it's really a case by case basis. But no relationship is perfect - no matter whether people meet online or in the local grocery store. So I would think online relationships have about as much chance of going well as any others :))

i met a guy i loved online but we could never meet near. he was in a different country than mine and he found someone else later on. we were planning to meet but then things changed anyway my advice to everyone is not to fall for someone online. even though some stories really have a happy ending many ones just dont work or because someone cheats, or lies. for those who fell for someone online please be careful. dont let someone hurt you.

I met a man who was obsessed with step rhythm games, just like myself. We first started instant messaging each other for a LONG time (six and a half years), before we thought about getting together in April. I decided to meet him in July, for my birthday. It was definately worth the 220 dollar Greyhound ticket. We never went to the movies, though. We spent most of the time at the arcades, or at the apartment playing video games (that's what we're calling it now ;) )
He's fun to be around, and I love him. We're engaged now, and I will be going down there again the day after Christmas. I'm excited and very happy.

That's how it's supposed to be, Elaine. You meet some guy while you're doing what you do and he's doing what he does. That's why most of my family meet people where they work---coz that's where your true personality really shines.

I haven't tried that yet. I haven't been into the men
that I always see online. I haven't seen anyone attractive
enough for me yet. Or maybe because I haven't seen my type
yet.
