Probably the best answer would be that your battery life's pan is coming to an end, most of these laptop batteries work well for the initial two years after which they start misbehaving. I bought a laptop with a battery which was heating a lot and researching on the cause I found that the model had got battery problem, so if your laptop didn't have battery problem then the life span is coming to an end, you may need to take it to qualify computer technician but to save you time and money you just need to buy and replace your laptop battery with a new one

Heat shortens battery's life. Even the heat from the laptop itself reduces battery's life so if you want to use a battery longer just remove it from the laptop when you don't use it.

That happens to almost all laptops, i dont know why people know this problem is happening all the time and they wont do anything to improve the durability of the laptop battery or maybe you just gonna have to change it every so often, i mean after all it is still just a battery right? You all we can do now is go buy a new battery.

My laptop has been fine with the battery but my wifes hasn't. My wifes laptops battery stopped working properly after just over a year so it was only just out of warranty which was annoying. My wifes laptop battery was originally 2 and a half hours but it now only lasts around 2 minutes before it shuts down the computer if its not plugged into the electricity. She has been told she needs to buy a new battery to replace that one but she is managing at the moment because the one she needs that fits her laptop costs £75.

Hi. I bought a laptop for my son a few years ago. I asked about a 3 year warranty....the salesman mentioned that it prob would be a good idea....since a laptop battery will only keep a good charge for about a year....then it will start not keeping it's charge as long. So, you are not alone with the battery problem, my friend....but just like the rest of us, I'm afraid. Price around and buy a new battery.
