If you walk on the street do you carry a gun, knive, deodorant or the like? Is it legal in your country to wear them and attack someone if necessary?

hi diamania, bring something more stronger than a deodorant. i would suggest you bring a pepper spray. but of course you cant use that like spraying a cologne or something. thats for self defense only. no country would permit you to bring weapons unless they are licensed or you have an authority to bring one. it has always been peaceful here in my place, i guess one just have to beware and not to bring big money outside and not to wear too much jewelries. have a nice day. ann

Hello tiger! We can't have pepperspray with us. It's a weapon according to the law. Deodorant is a common thing to have with you so when you use it to defend yourself, yes a little spray in the eyes isn't nice, you're legally fine.

I thought I was the only person to carry deodorant around for emergencies. But that's all I carry, you can't carry any here.

What about deodorant? That's pretty weird about the burglar... well, unless the burglar is 'harmless' and just wants things from you.. maybe they wont attack you. But what about self defense? I'm not sure of this for my country, I should look it up.

You can't carry anything either here. Except for keys but they don't do an awful lot of damage except for when poking in someone eye. You can't even attack a burglar in your own house here. If you do so you'll get jailed instead of the burglar. I find that a bit weird.

I do not carry any arms, but yes I do have deodorant in my purse. If something would happen to you I guess you do everything you can to protect yourself and spraying deodorant in someones face might be quite effective as it buys you time to get away from being harmed or robbed. I wouldn't go as far as calling it weapon, because when in danger I guess you use anything you have on you.

I don't wear any army knife or stuff like that. first off all I couldn't use it. I wouldn't have the courage to shoot someone. a thing that my father told me to wear was pepper spray but I don't want to live affraid that someone m,ight steal my bad or rape me or I don't know. I want to think that we didn't get to this level and be that savage. I live in romania and it's not allowed to wear weapons or stuff like that on the street

In some way wearing protection is admitting that walking on the street is dangerous. But on the other hand something like deodorant which I can't imagine would be illegal to use when attacked can save your life.

To walk on the street, fortunately we do not need any of these things. We live happily without those things. Can you please let me know where are these things required to walk on the streets.

It's not like it's needed but in some places and countries you do need something to protect yourself with from pickpockets and other scum.

It is not allowed here unless you have a permit but the likelihood would be for in homes type of deal. Still does not stop the bad ones from carrying them. The only deodorant I wear is for my arm pits and some should consider it as the smells sometimes can be deadly. As for things like pepper spray, here if I were to spray an attacker with it do you know I could be charged with assault as the law says we cannot take the law into our own hands. I tell you something if I had it and I was being attack law or no law I would spray the living day lights our of my attacker and I would not be thinking about the law as where is the law while I am being attached.
