when insuline doesn't work

Some years ago I was declared as diabetic, as many of my family members. Doctor tried with medicines but nothing worked, the ones that would work I had allergy to them, and the others simply don't work. Doctor changed me to insuline a year and a half, but from a couple of months to now, despite all, insuline starts not to work. Even doctor doesn't know what to do, he has researched and made lot of tests but found nothing to explain what's happening. A month ago he raised the amount of insuline to the max allowed, but doesn't work, nothing makes my sugar lower (but it doesn't go higher, too), even increasing daily sport quota... We all are pretty scared about this matter.
Do you know of someone with this problem???? have any idea of what would be happening?

That is really scary! What about the kind of insulin the doctor gave you? Was it correct? Or have you checked if the insulin that was used has not expired? Have you sought a second opinion? I wish you would double check lab results, or better yet, get new tests... We can never be too careful with these things. This means our lives...
