Not at all. I don't personally own the iPad, however my grandfather does and I have used it a few times. I may just be inept at touch screen, but personally, I much prefer the feel of keys below my fingers instead of just a screen. Typing an email on that is incredibly hard for me! It also gave me a headache.

I don't have wifi at home so I have to visit my college. The keyboard takes some getting used to, its very sensitive. You can either hate or love it, because it depends on what you want- a portable touchscreen with usability or a heavier laptop where it is easier to type.

This post is a year old, which is the same as my iPad. It was about Christmas time last year when I got it. Obviously it's been upgraded to the iPad2 with the camera.
I used to love it when I got it, but not so much now. Even the iPad2 wouldn't excite me as much. The reason is that this year we got an iPod Touch, which is just a smaller version of the iPad. And way cheaper!

I know this is an old discussion but I guess I'll comment on it... I just bought iPad 2 about a month ago for work reasons & I like it... It's WiFi only model & I do have wireless router set up at home so it works out perfect for me... I've never used the orginal iPad so I can't really it's better or worse but it's working out for me so far...
