Do You Click On Discussions With "No Responses" Just To See The Topics?

I don't do this on a regular basis but once in awhile i do click on this just to see the discussion topics and also try and understand why these discussions have no responders.Sometimes i find myself feeling badly for whoever started the discussion and will give a response even if i'm not particularly interested in the topic. At least this will get the one who posted it off the "No Response" list which i realize isn't much , but at the very least the person can say they got 1 or 2 responses. so, i'm interested to know if you do this and if so why?

I don't care about the number of the responses. I read the topic if it catches my attention and I answer if I feel that I want to say something. But if it's not interesting to me I just leave it. I know that it's sad to stay with zero responses, but this is not such a big drama.

I understand what you're saying juju and after I recently had a topic with no responses, I too started looking at that tab. I have seen only a few which I felt were reasonable and worthwhile to respond to. But when there is something that I find to be relevant to me, I will definitely respond.

Just to show how unobservant I am, I've never even noticed that there is a "No Response" list. I think I'll start checking it out.

Don't worry it took me awhile to find that list and really, you would be surprised at some of the discussions you'll find there. Some of them are better than the ones with responses.

A very good question. To me it doesn't matter how many responses a discussion has, I just view those that I am interested in an yes sometimes if I see a discussion that it doesn't attract me and has no response I go and have a look and see what's it about.

Sometimes discussions with "no responses" can be quite interesting and makes me wonder why they aren't receiving any comments. When i don't see discussions that may be of interest to me, it also doesn't matter how many responses the member may have, i will head over to the "no responses" section and just see if i cna find an interesting discussion there.

Hi junjunme: It's nice to know that you usually help the other persons from mylot that have no answers on their discussions. That's amazing. However I don't do this because I prefer to just make part of a discussion based on the subject and the questions that the person makes. I only make an answer if I feel interested on the debate or if I think I can write a good answer for the person that has started the discussion. Thanks for sharing with us the way you select your discussions. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Most of the time i will only comment on discussions i'm interested in as well. but, even when i visit the "no responses" section i will try to give a good comment and feel i need to have at least a little knowledge about the subject. I don't thnk it's fair for anyone to comment on "any" discussion, just to leave a comment on a topic they know nothing about or only give 1 or 2 word answers.

When I run out of discussions in the other tabs I do head over from time to time. As I find so many members flooding the tabs with one-liner discussions which drown some of them causing members not to notice them. So it is not that they are not being liked it is sometimes too many getting started at one time that they get so burying and if you do you will notice a great many selection of there as well with quality content really worth our time.

Yes! , the "one-liners" seem to be everywhere and not just those .How about the "poll" type questions,?. "what did you have for breskfast this morning"? Really?.I don't think people understand that eventually they will be deleted so it is pointless to start them in the first place and kind of unfair as well, since as you mentioned , members "flooding the tabs" with these discussions cause some really good ones to be ignored.

Haha tats funny.. well not exactly.. we just want to know wats so new in the topic that it got zero responses..may be the ignorance of the discussion starter

I really don't think it's ignorance at all. Some of the discussions i find with no responses are sometimes just as good and well thought out as ones with many responses. There are really some interesting topics in that section and it's hard for me to understand why they received no responses at all.

I sometimes browse through them to see if there's something interesting. But, I'll only post a response if I actually have something to say.

Really I mostly surf my interests and my friends' discussions and I typically don't look for the most popular discussions or discussions with no responses. Sometimes I do when I really want to keep posting and I can't find anything I want to respond to in my frequent stomping grounds. But whenever I surf the no-responses I always kinda feel like I have nothing to say. Like whatever I could say would be totally unhelpful or non-sequitur.

I check only topics that I feel interested in, I don't look at response count at all.

I think oftentimes it's not so much that the topic doesn't interest people, it's just not responded to by chance. If I happen to notice that, I suppose I would add a comment, as long as it was somewhat relevant to my interests. I think I wouldn't pay much attention to how many responses a topic has, though, and instead pay attention to the topic itself.

I don't really think it's by "chance" since there are so many discussions with no responses. it's not that i pay much attention to how many responses one gets to their discussion before i will respond most of the time, the topic has to capture my interest before i will even think of responding, but i have left comments on no response discussions especially if it's one of my friends on here and even so, it's on very rare occasions.
