Yes I fear one day people may forget how to communicate face to face. Watch the movie Surrogates. You will get a good concept of how this could really be possible, all because of our wonderful friend technology. Friend or foe, ask yourself.

Ya I think the scariest movies are the ones that may be possible some day.

I do think texting is good in small amounts and so that people can communicate when in loud busy places but theres such a thing as texting too much or at stupid times. To me texting someone who is sat right next to you or evn in the same house is silly as communicating face to face would be better and alot easier too.

The technology convenience to day has made so many of us lazy and sometimes yes it can drive me nuts that someone would text me instead of speaking to me directly.
Although I must also admit that in order not to draw attention while others are around that one may text the other so that everyone in the same room will not catch on, however with so many of us having specific ring tones for each received caller and or texters, many will actually catch on.

I don't have unlimited texting however I am annoyed by those who text when I am right beside them, they can just tell me inside of wasting my text messages as I only have 200 a month. I feel that technology is taking over our world, there are advantages and disadvantages though.

Well, it is only happening because of the unlimited text promotions from various networks, had it not been for them, I am sure no one will waste their money for doing that(texting even if they are just beside each other.)

I think some people get addicted to texting and don't know when to stop lol. I know if I text someone when they are in the same room it is to tell them I need to talk to them about something important right away and I don't want anyone else to know. Other than that I think it is ridiculous to text while in the same room or same house. :o)
