Mermaid In Tsunami

Recently i got a chance to watch TV show which shows the image of little mermaid on the shore of Chennai(INDIA)after the tsunami.The image is not the regular idea regarding the mermaids we have , rather this mermaids looks very ugly and the front part of the mermaid is look like a bat while the posterior part is like that of fish. but someone says that the picture is digitally generated.What is your opinion about that?.......
