is india deserving no.1 position in tests as well as oneday?

India has a top position so we can say Indian team deserved on the top also in ODI,but oneday game and test game is different,also every teams players and performance in test and oneday is different so it is all about changing positions in ranking.

Looking at their performances over the last year or so and comparing with the other teams during the same period, I would say that India definitely deserves the number one status in one dayers. Also I think India does not deserve to be number 1 in the ODIs as they are very inconsistent. They perform well in one tournament and then play badly in another. So I guess so far I agree with the ratings. Cheers! Ram

Hi Sekhar! It is not advising, it is just telling or justifying. Advising is all about what to do or not to do etc. And as far as the No1 position and whether India deserves it or not can be debated both ways. That is you can debate it saying 'No' and you can debate it saying 'Yes' The best thing to do is not to worry about it and just enjoy the cricket that India is playing. If India is No1 in the ICC list then it surely means that they are doing something right and good for the last few months. Better than other teams. Otherwise they won't be No1. If Indian team maintains a large gap between the 2nd ranked team and keeps its No1 rank for a longer time then you can say that they are dominating other teams. But simply the No1 rank indicates that at least for now India is the deserving No1. If they don't then they will go down the ranking list soon. That is it. Happy MyLotting!

It had been No 1 in both test and 1days some time ago,Wish it makes the mark again. I am a huge fan of cricket,but these days I am not able to follow the cricket matches,because of my busy schedule.
