...laptop!!! A few posts ago, I mentioned that i was tired of not having a computer, and that one day this week, I was going to go out and get myself a new laptop. Hubby found a great little computer store downtown, and we went in there today. It's a re-furb, and didn't have all the stuff that my old one did, but it's still a pretty great laptop.

There's some good deals out there on re-furb gadgets, I know a friend who avoided paying the going rate for a very expensive mobile phone and half the price by doing as you've mentioned. Are you talking spec wise? There's a lot of silly applications/programs installed on computers over, you should of seen the amount of space wasted on my parents when they first bought it. I spent 1 and half days uninstalling things LOL

good for you!
Our tech friend picked up my laptop last night. He's pretty sure he can take it apart and replace the keyboard for me and it will be up and running. I pray he's right because this slow desktop if for the birds! I could have 50 tabs open on my laptop with no problems...can't hardly do 2 things at once on this one.

bi danishcanadian good for you and refurbs are not all that bad as my son bought one as he had never had a laptop just the desktop computer so he seems pleased with it as a whole. I still am plugging along with my old computer. I would love to get a new one, a dell I think but no money now.

wow,danish! good for you! i also wanted to have my own laptop,to be handy at times. i have my desktop here that i use everyday with me. and it would be nice to have laptop as well,cause you can bring it anywhere,not like desktop just imagine if you can bring desktop anywhere,
