Are You What You Wear?

When I wear old-fashioned shirt, many people say that I'm not up-to-date. I don;t really care of their words. When I wear dirty street-fashioned clothes, people judge me a beggar and mentally sick,,...
I just wanna say that I'm not what I wear. If I dress like Obama, doesn't mean I'm talented to be a President and I'm as brilliant as him. Something like that. What is your experience in this case? Share here.

As humans it is a shame that they judge anyone by what they wear and miss out on potentially a great person's personality because they did not get pass the judging nature without getting into the interior of that person's persona.
I am very much into fashion, as it came with my line of work, however I would never judge anyone, my thing is that as long as they are clean what difference does it make.

I wouldn't really say so.
My neighbour he dresses respectful as he works within a call centre so it's all smart clothing, although when he's home he's a slob and women beater. I on the other hand haven't bought any new clothes in a long time and despite this fact, I still dress fairly smart for around here. I mainly wear combats and sports clothing, although people tend to consider me a chav (teenage thug) I have a lot more respect than that and I don't really agree with judging people before you know them. Community spirit around here seems to be based on the fact that people no longer want to talk but assume, I think it's pretty wrong.

i has become the custom in many places to judge people by what they wear. If you are going for a job you would need to wear what is good for that job. But if you are old like me you can get away with wearing comfortable clothing as long as it's clean.

People are very quick to judge others by what they wear. It can be very offensive as you pointed out. Plus like you said, I can wear professional clothes but that doesn't make me professional! Overall I am like, I'm gonna be comfortable and I don't care what you think. But then there are occasions where I do have to "dress the part" and I can do that as well!

We all know that people judge others by how they look. At least i'm well aware of it. Whenever i'm going out clubbing i wear nice clothes for women to see me as someone wealthy or sophisticated. It works most of the time. The only times when it doesn't is when the club is really dark and they're really not sure what i'm wearing.
