I don't eat pigs but I do eat pork. Some religions forbade eating pork originally because the animal was seen as unclean - in other words, it frequently ate from garbage heaps, so it was likely to contain diseases which could be passed on to humans. With proper farming, of course, this is no longer the case, so there is no reason not to eat pork if you eat meat at all.

Yup.
I enjoy pork products... especially ham!
But those who don't... all the more power to you. It's a choice we can make!

Many religions Judaism, Islam, and many cultures either ban eating pork entirely or eat very little of it just to mark special occasions. I do not like eating pork, it makes me sick.. However my family loves to eat it all the time.. So sometimes I have to eat it with them, or I will not have a meal.... I break out and get sick from it though. So for spiritual and health reasons. I would avoid pork at all times if I could. ... I did find that putting fresh wheatgrass all over it helps my body digest it better somehow....
I like the taste of it, but I do not like what it does to my body, makes me sick, sweaty, and just blech... So I can see why so many religions ban pork, as it seems more people have allergies to it then they realise...
