cookie exchange

hey everyone its that time of the year and at my house we have a cookie exchange and i m in need of some good cookie recipes. i dont know if anyone has ever been to a cookie exchange a cookie exchange is where u invite a bunch of your friends over and u tell them to bring 7 dozen of one type of cookie to exchange. than you have little games preferably christmas games cause it is christmas time and u give out little gifts and that way when every one leaves u have everyone leave they can go home with a variety of cookies and a prize.. but anyway.. i need a good recipe for this year what would u want to take home from my cookie exchange help me out here.. i want something different other than chocolate, oatmeal and sugar cookies....

upto now i dont know about cookie exchange program u have put.thanks for telling about that.really it is a enjoyable programme i think as u put games also . u can try ginger cookies ,almond cookies,desert cookies,or go for any combinations. u can see many cookies recipes in ifood.tv website or joyofbaking website. u can see many recipes in those sites and select ur favourite cookie recipe there. if u want cookie recipes for kids,u can go for gingerbread men recipe,chocolate chip cookies,thumbprint cookies,chocolate sugar cookies,chololate wraffers,spritz cookies,meringue mushroom(cookies),pumpkin whoopie pies(cookies),chekerboard cookies,bourbon balls,etc

This one is a lil different but very good! http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/bakers-one-bowl-chocolate-53456.aspx it also lists variations you can do with it. You can make lots of variations with pudding cookies, just change the flavor of the pudding to compliment the flavor of the chip you are using. Have you tried going to the library and going thru various cookbooks they have on hand? Peanut Butter Kiss cookies aren't real different but different than the ones you have listed. Lets see how bout Biscotti? snickerdoodles? shortbread? Oreo truffles are good though I don't know if that's a kind of cookie you are looking for but they are very tasty even if you don't dip them in chocolate
