who should say sorry first?

when there is an argument between man and woman (assuming they are a couple) who should say sorry first?
i think for me it should be the one who made the wrong. that is the first step to right the wrong done. i think that saying sorry should not be dependent on the reaction of the other person, after all, if you are truly sorry, it doesn't matter if the other person is angry. and i believe you should not be surprised if the other person is angry at you, after all you did something wrong. his or her angry reaction only happened because of the wronngdoing.
but the say, women apologize more often than not while men are the opposite. what do you say to this?

personally i think i a women would say they were sorry first because a man can not say there sorry first they dont know how i believe.. lol they are to macho. too it kinda ticks me off..

I think it depends who feels guilty in the arguments. Not just because you are wrong but how you react on it. Maybe you are wrong but you over reacting it. Sometimes man has a pride, he always think before he says sorry.

I agree with you that its the one who has done wrong who should initiate peaceful actions. And yes it seems that generally it is the women who usually fix things.But during courship , i think the woman gets a little pampered and the man always gives in and it really does not matter who is wrong or right.But when they are married, ahhhh calvary starts for the woman.
