whirlpool washing machine

ok here's the situation. we got a washing machine through the gov grant scheme last September 2009 we had the machine for six weeks when it died it went back to get fixed in November 2009 and whirlpool has not sent the parts to fix it now we have had no washing machine for 12 months . I know i will never buy anything from whirlpool again has anyone had the same sort thing happen to them and what did you do about it.
