I need to buy a laptop for my online job and it needs to have a microsoft office installed in it. My budget is only $450.00. I want to buy a brandnew, but it's ok with me if it is a surplus laptop or a secondhand as long as it's in a good condition.
Can anyone tell me in what website should I browse and where to buy a laptop? I want to buy it here in the Philippines.

You can try the brand acer or HP they are cheap but they perform as better as the other brands. Toshiba is also a very good laptop. These brands are reliable enough for office work and if you need to write a report or presentation. I suggest you buy those with intel core i5 or i7.

i think that for this price you should consider a netbook and not really laptop!!So may be you can choose a netbook suing the intel atom processor and a real normal ram...because budget permit this...in many cases there are many netbook about 10'' which they are affordable if your purpose is to surf the net, mails, googling or something like that....really normal or consumer functionalities.

Hi dear,
I think with the quoted budget, you will get better configured laptops around. If you are looking for the cost less ones, acer and asus are the ones you can go for it. Both are branded and comparatively lesser cost. You can bargain for a higher configuration with a 2GB ram and 360GB HDD with this cost.
Another method is that go for the seconds. People may blame if we go for second hand laptops. But if you finalise for the same, get a better knowledgeable computer hardware engineer and find for the search. You can get very good conditions may be (4-6 months used) ones. Those are easily available with online may be ebay and other sites. Recently I bought for one of my friend and it is superb and working very fine. He got it with 1/4th of the original price and it is make of Lenovo with a highly configured intel core deo 2 processor and many more.
Few things to be notified is that – accompany an engineer alongwith you while purchasing so as to know better of the condition of the laptop. Don’t go for very old and assembled ones. If it is opened and serviced, don’t go for it. It depend on your choice. Also, on a daily basis, there are new and advanced models and brands are coming up. So instead of paying a heavy amount for a computer now, get the thing with a best cost combination with the one you likes.
