Do you follow your own advice? (generally)
why do you advice this? Is it down to experiences?
Do you follow your heart or your head? why?
what will lead to the greater happiness? how do you do it?

Hi Mishynina -
I am coming into this conversation kind of late so hope you still will read this. I believe there are two answers that one can give to your question "Do you follow your own advice". I would say that there are times when I do give advice and I myself follow it but now that I think about it, being older, the advice I give is actaully opposite to what I have done because I do not want others to make the same mistake I've made. Maybe that is called wisdom; and yes, that does come from experience. As far as what leads to happiness, do not do anything if you have any doubts about what you are doing. Follow your heart, but listen to your head. Take care.

Well mishynina, for me as we get older and older, slowly we develop something... something that guides us in our footsteps..something we call "experience"
Regardless of what one might tell you or ask you to do, it's finally down to your own judgments and how you perceive things that will prevent you from making wrong choices that you might regret later on.
and I got really excited seeing "heart or head" mentioned in your discussion topic ^^
You know what, I can't answer to that... coz it's really up to you, so listen to your heart! :DD

:) thank you for your pov hati3kuro.. n yeh I agreed with you about the thing that we eventually would have to make our own decision on things regardless of what people would be telling us what to do. As for me, I personally think that if we listen with our heart, we somehow open the door of the meaningful communications. As we seek to understand and be empathetic to the need by all to be acknowledged. and at the same time, I think we won't judge the logic behind someone's emotions and respect the diversity of others and ourselves too.

I think it is best to make decisions with your head and not your heart. I think
our hearts can lead us astray with emotion. Sometimes our hearts tell us we want to be with someone but our head knows from the knowledge we have that the person is wrong for us. So yes I think it iw better to allow your brain to lead your life.

It seemed different from the others. I appreciate this :) n yes I do agree with u that heart can lead us astray with EMOTION. especially when emotion dominates everything. things can just go upside down.. Thanks again.. ^^

I used to follow my head. Logic seemed to dictate my life and worked for me from the onset. But then things would falter and I'd be left feeling unsatisfied. So I decided to follow my heart and found that - while things may have proved more difficult at times - I was always a lot happier in the end.
As for following my own advice, I certainly try to. I find that I have no right to give it if I don't follow it; though, there are moments when I fail to do so.

Hi holesworth.. thanks for your response and sharing this with me. It is already good to at least feel the happiness after all the hard times. you know,I think that it is OK to give people a word or two even though we ourselves are not really following it. Well, maybe just some ideas as that MIGHT work for the others and their job is to brainstorm it well. Who knows right..^^

hi mishynina!
see it depends upon the situation. at certain time u r governed by your head n on other hand u decide to go what ur heart is saying. same person falls in love governed by heart and the same person uses his head at office affairs..

Hello,
This particular topic captured my interest because, just like others, I am thrown into that situation everyday, atleast 10 times. When I have to decide something, I try not to decide/judge based on past experiences (although I do take into account of the past results). I strongly believe in "seeing" every event/incident/matter as fresh, with no background. This way, I can go deep down to the core and analyze better.
